CLHBC has three Programs
HIV/AIDS Program
CLHBC is the only Home-Based Organisation that provides excellent HIV/AIDS services to the community in their homes
- The organization supports clients with food staffs, educates the community on HIV/AIDS basics, provide guidance and counseling on HIV related such as issues affecting their viral load suppression, stigma and discrimination from family and community members since HIV/AIDS is still considered as a killer disease and no one should be close to the other in Karamoja.
- The Centre offers support to the vulnerable clients living with HIV/AIDS through home visits to give home-based care services. We provide psychosocial support, closed follow up on adherence to treatment, and counselling to encourage clients to choose life and live positively.
- CLHBC works with community workers, peer educators and people of good will to provide support to the clients.
School of Life
CLHBC offers support to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) infected and affected by HIV/AIDS . This is done through holistic care and support by individual visits and close follow up at homes, in schools, and engaging the children in after school program to support them to improve on their health and school performance .
CLHBC supports OVCs through psychosocial support by providing food support, counselling and school material support like scholastic materials, uniforms and school fees to motivate them to pursue their education.
Special Needs Education
CLHBC also has a Special Needs education program for skilling and educating children with special needs. This is a critical aspect at CLHBC of educating these and ensuring that regardless of their disabilities, they also have equal opportunities for learning and development.
